Many of you have seen me present on FastTrack for Office 365 and End User Adoption at either a SharePoint Saturday or SPTech Con. I thought I’d write a blog post to link to my favorite templates up on the FastTrack site for easy access.
What is FastTrack for Office 365: Microsoft FastTrack for Office 365 is the customer success service designed to help you move to Office 365, smoothly and with confidence, and realize business value faster provided to customer and partners who have purchased Office 365.
Eligibility: The FastTrack Center will contact eligible customers within 30 days of purchasing Office 365. FastTrack resources and services are included in Office 365 for customers with at least 50 seats of Office 365 Enterprise/Business SKUs, as well as paid Government SKUs, Kiosk SKUs, and Non-profit SKUs. Once you are signed up you can then click the “Success Plan” button at the top of the page and get started with the Fast Track team.
FY17 Office 365 Adoption Offers are not quite up on the site yet but look to this link for updates.
FREE RESOURCES: However, there are tons of FREE templates, ideas, graphics for YOU to leverage for your own SharePoint End User Adoption Campaign. I reference these all the time in our presentations.
You should click on all the pillars and then scroll all the way down after watching the videos but the big area is RESOURCES for all the great templates. Real actual PowerPoint presentations with slides you can use to educate your teams, plan your adoption campaign or sell up to your executive level.
Here are our favorites and why:
- Office 365 Adoption Guide – start here the checklist inside this guide matches the one that I discuss in our presentations and has step by step guidance on what it means to put on a full blown adoption campaign.
- Adoption Plan Guide – this has grids for timelines that will get you and your team started on seeing the big picture of all the aspects and timing for your end user adoption campaign. Start with them as a foundation and build your work back schedule that maps to your business need and deployment schedule. This is also in Excel a bit further down the page.
- Communication Guide – this has a comprehensive template for creating a communication and training plan to support your campaign. The only thing missing is in-context help and training which we provide for customers via our Content Panda for SharePoint product, which you can see in action here.
Important: If you aren’t already watching the roadmap for Office 365 Feature releases, you should be. Do make sure to take a look there to see what is coming and changing so you are aware.
I hope you have great success planning your SharePoint End User Adoption Campaign. Do note that the FastTrack resources call out Office 365 (SharePoint Online) but they can be leveraged for any migration from one version to another. For End User Adoption the goal is the same; to empower users, increase productivity and see more out of your SharePoint investment.
Feel free to reach out to me any time if you have questions or need a pointer, I’m always happy to help, answer questions and point folks in the right direction.
